Roberto Zucco

Roberto Zucco is a play by French playwright Bernard-Marie Koltès, based on the true story of the Italian-born Roberto Succo, who, during the 1980s, murdered his mother, was imprisoned, escaped, and went on a killing spree—primarily in France.

The play explores philosophical and existential themes, centering on a man who perceives himself as invincible—and perhaps, unsettlingly, is the only one who sees humanity for what it truly is. This production was performed at the Danish National School of Performing Arts as a first-year project.
